Ford Car Warranty

Nov 11, 2019

There are few automakers in the history of the automotive sector as influential or powerful as the Ford Motor Company. Founded in 1903 by Henry Ford in Dearborn, Michigan, the company has retained its position as the 2nd largest U.S.-based automaker, and maintains an ownership position in multiple foreign automakers, and sells automobiles and commercial vehicles under the Ford brand and most luxury cars under its Lincoln brand.

Ford’s line-up for 2020 has a very significant update that will have a huge impact on the SUV market; the first major redesign of the best-selling Explorer SUV that has been a mainstay for Ford for over two decades. In addition to new capability enhancing features like rear-wheel drive, there are also two new available trims. Ford now offers a commanding, no-compromise Explorer Limited Hybrid as well as the most powerful Explorer to date, the all-new Explorer ST. With 400 horsepower, 415 lb.-ft. of torque and a top speed of 143 mph, the new ST is likely to challenge the high-performance luxury SUV options from Dodge, Cadillac, Lexus, and Volvo in the North American market.

Ford has also updated its entire lineup of crossovers and SUVs with the 2020 EcoSport, Escape, Edge, Flex, and full-sized luxury Expedition models; every model has been updated with more advanced navigation systems, extra trim levels, and a new 335hp V6 engine for the less expensive Escape and Edge models.

The best-selling Fusion and Mustang have been updated for 2020; the Mustang is now available with a choice of 6 high-performance engines, including the new 2020 Shelby GT500 model that features one of the world’s most powerful supercharged V8 engines.

The Ford F-150 pick-up has been upgraded for 2020 with two V8 options; including a 375 hp 3.5L engine, and a 3.0L Power Stroke Turbo Diesel engine.

Ford has also become a significant competitor in the hybrid market with new 2020 versions of the Explorer, Escape, and Fusion electric sedans and SUVs.

Why do you need a Circle Auto Protect on your Ford?

Designed for the roads and harsh weather conditions of the United Kingdom, Asia, Western Europe, and North America, the Ford family of vehicles are subject to less than optimal driving conditions that can accelerate the wear and tear on a vehicle. Winter weather, potholes, and the need to service the automobile to maintain its high level of performance requires regular dealer visits, and once your Ford manufacturer’s warranty expires, you don’t want to be stuck with potentially expensive repair bills. Protect your significant investment with Circle Auto Protect.

How Does a Circle Auto Protect Compare to a Ford Extended Warranty?

In order to show how an extended auto warranty policy from Circle Auto Protect compares to an Extended Limited Warranty from Ford, we’ve prepared the following detailed comparison.
The basic Ford bumper-to-bumper warranty only lasts three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. If problems arise early in your car’s life due to faulty materials or workmanship, they’re covered by the dealership.

If your vehicle is covered by a Ford powertrain warranty, it’s important to know that this warranty plan is much more limited than bumper-to-bumper coverage. Though it lasts for five years or 60,000 miles, the Ford powertrain warranty only covers the parts of the car that mechanically drive it forward.

Ford powertrain warranties cover:
•    Engine
•    Transmission
•    Transfer case
•    Driveshafts
•    Axles
•    Differentials
•    Front-wheel drive
•    Rear-wheel drive
•    All-wheel drive

Under the factory warranty, your Ford vehicle’s airbag Supplemental Restraint System, or SRS, and safety belts are covered for five years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Ford warranty corrosion coverage includes perforation only and lasts five years or unlimited miles. It applies to your car’s body sheet metal panels or aluminum body panels. This means that if parts of your car are damaged by rust within the first five years, you don’t have to pay for the repairs.

Unlike many other manufacturer warranties, the Ford New Vehicle Limited Warranty also covers defected tires up to 36,000 miles. How much you pay to replace your tires is determined by how many miles you’ve driven.
